★Why Vanguard Tournaments...★

1) Don't Represent Skill ~ Bushiroad, what are you doing.... I'm deeply disappointed with how you run your tournaments. "Best of 1", seriously? It's like taking a shit and forgetting to wipe your ass. My point is that it's half-assed and it's such a lazy way to run tournaments.

2) Can be an Absolute Nightmare ~ This isn't really anyone's fault other than how the popularity of the game has grown. There are many factors that we cannot control like the space. Ugh, it's way too crowded during tournaments. I swear that the amount of people that actually goes to these tournaments are creating a fire hazard. God forbid if someone decides to take out a lighter to take everyone with him cause he got double critical-ed at 3 damage. There is barely any room to walk around and the room is so loud that I can't even have a serious conversation with my friends.

3) Are Awful at Passing Correct Penalties ~ Come on, Bushiroad...Release Judge Forms for more accurate penalties. A lot of my friends fell victim to the draw-stand phase ruling where you can't stand your units if you drew first. Last time I checked, a reversible game state leads to a warning at most. At least Konami did this right even if they are completely wrong in their marketing department. I'm not going to go in depth with that here. For a Konami Rant, read this.

4) Can get you Leaving with a Frown ~ I agree, granted yes, you can get double-critical-ed at 3. Yes, your opponent can 6 damage heal. You might even drive check (4)Grade 3s in the span of 2 turns. That's all part of the game. The one thing that really gets me and my friends annoyed are some of the people's attitudes. They really kill the game for me. Some people has a stick stuck so far their ass and are just a bunch of rule sharks. Like, what the fuck, I hold out a card with 3 fingers being supported by my pinky. I place the outside edge of the hand supported by the pinky on the guard circle with the card still facing me and unrevealed.

Something Like THIS

I decide to take it back and choose no guard instead. The guy was like a reaction of your typical PvP League of Legends player losing a match. I didn't even reveal the card yet and he assumed I cheated. Really? What if it was a Grade 3? Are you going to rule shark me and say I have to guard with a Grade 3? Unbelievable. There's this also apparent stereotype where Asians are better at this game and that is completely false. It is true that Asians might have an advantage in Mathematics and Sciences because in The Eastern World, Math and Sciences are the most valuable when it comes to education. This doesn't mean they are better than any other race, other than the MASTER RACE. lul3D. Anyways, races don't determine shit. Only people that learns the ways of the Probability will be able to perform well enough to show a good representation of skill.

5) Can actually be a Pretty Decent Experience- Despite all those flaws above, I still enter tournaments. It's not detrimental to the point that makes winning an impossible dream. I'm just saying, just be careful of those people that I mention above. It's a good way to see what good decks play and see what some of the actual skilled plays are. It's enjoyable when "those people" aren't around, so yea.

UNTIL NEXT TIME, SAOFIGHTERS!!!
